As noted before I was young when I read the Bond books and this one (a collection of short stories) made less of an impression on me. I rated it lower as the enjoyment value was (for me) less.

Interesting side note among the titles as well as For Your Eyes Only was: From a View to a Kill a part of which title was used for a movie (Roger Moore) and also Quantum of Solace the movie by that name shares nothing with the story.

No a bad read course anything with James Bond is pretty good as far as short stories go, one story Bond is off on a trek through the Green Mountains to conduct a hit on a target, where some sniper work is involved. All in all a good filler for a rainy weekend.

It seems like an eternity ago since I started this book but, in reality I just never found the time to post a review.

Retirement has changed all of that (Now, my TBR shelf is buldging at the seems and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by so many genres from Fantasy [GRRM] to Horror to Espionage.

Excellent collection of short stories with Quantum of Solace and The Hildebrand Rarity being the best. The short story is a difficult form to master and Fleming has shown his skills as a writer.
