While The Sinner is perhaps my least favorite in the series, Tess still delivers a curious tale of strange connections. I read this with the Tess Gerritsen Fans Group on Goodreads during March and I read the green cover edition to be festive for St.Patrick's Day :-) ...more
The Book Whisperer (aka Boof)
The third book in the Rizzoli and Isles series, and to be honest one that I thought I wouldn’t enjoy as much as the first two. I’m not particularly keen on books that deal with religion in either a conspiracy way or cults and sects (they make me feel uncomfortable) and the title of The Sinner made me think I may be in store for something Dan Brownish which made me shiver somewhat. Having read the books out of order; I do not think The Sinner was as good as Keepsake or The Mephisto Club. I did like learning more about the characters of Maura Isles and Jane Rizzoli. The plot was not bad but was a bit predictable. I still enjoyed reading the book and the character details kept me interested.

I blame the TNT tv series on that because all I picture when I read about Rizzoli is Angie Harmon and that's sooooooo not what the character in the book looks like! I'm trying to go wi ...more

I really enjoyed this just as much as the others.
Again Gerritsen writes with such intense detail, twists and keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through, looking forward to the next in the series.
