While The Sinner is perhaps my least favorite in the series, Tess still delivers a curious tale of strange connections. I read this with the Tess Gerritsen Fans Group on Goodreads during March and I read the green cover edition to be festive for St.Patrick's Day :-)

The third book in the Rizzoli and Isles series, and to be honest one that I thought I wouldn’t enjoy as much as the first two. I’m not particularly keen on books that deal with religion in either a conspiracy way or cults and sects (they make me feel uncomfortable) and the title of The Sinner made me think I may be in store for something Dan Brownish which made me shiver somewhat. Not so. I am just as happy to report this is just as fantastic as the first two and not a conspiracy theory in sight

Having read the books out of order; I do not think The Sinner was as good as Keepsake or The Mephisto Club. I did like learning more about the characters of Maura Isles and Jane Rizzoli. Gerritsen has developed some wonderful main characters and a great supporting cast. I plan to read the entire series. I recommend reading The Sinner as it is part of a broader story. The plot was not bad but was a bit predictable. I still enjoyed reading the book and the character details kept me interested.

Interesting plot line. I enjoyed the different cases that Rizzoli & Isles were working on coming together, and I thought the main gist of the case was very appropriate to what we learned about Maura in this book. I loved getting to know Maura more in this one, but had a hard time with the progression with Rizzoli. I blame the TNT tv series on that because all I picture when I read about Rizzoli is Angie Harmon and that's sooooooo not what the character in the book looks like! I'm trying to go wi
