I love the book and the world Lauren Oliver has created. This is one of the few books I was really into it. The idea of curing the love is very original and it's also scary. I can't imagine a world without love. Life will be boring and no one will be actually happy. I like that Delirium isn't just about the love story between Alex and Lena, but it's also about family and friendship. I was quite skeptical about this book when I first saw it. It just sounded like the typical sugary teen love story. The idea of a society in which love is considered to be a disease was the reason I actually bought this book.
My skepticism made me company throughout the first pages of the book. The typical character: a girl, that's what it looks like, not beautiful, but not ugly, with some big secret/ something traumatic in her past, accidentally meeting a gorgeous guy that loves her to death. ...more

The book had a good idea - the cure for the love disease and the rebel girl and all but it was really easy to guess what happens next, not really thrilling.
I guess it's just not my type of read?
