I understand why this book is a classic, but I still didn't particularly like it. The extreme usage of semicolons, as well as the constant drifting from consciousness to consciousness, made it difficult to follow at times, and even more difficult to care about the story or the characters. But then again, I don't particularly enjoy the stream of consciousness writing style. If I'm going to listen to someone's rambling thoughts, I'd rather listen to my own.
