First and foremost, Tuesday Cross is an incredibly talented writer, and I do mean talented. Second, with this book I found her great sense humor-which had me laughing often (on a few occassions maniacally...*shrug*), an original story line, and creative characters. Third, I loved the detail of the magic and how it was utilized and Dragons! Yay! Can't help but love some dragons ;)! Nyminia is a young woman who has had a rough go at life, and you feel for her struggles-even with the little details ...more

This book was exciting to read. I enjoyed the characters of Nyminia and Rowan. They made quick great friends. I not sure I liked the ending on this book and I know it is only book 1 so maybe that is why. The whole book was not bad and kept me reading to find out what would happen next and what was Nyminia's part in everything. ...more
