I am continuing my tour of Agatha Christie's collected works. I'm taking my sweet time about it, but I'm enjoying the ride. I don't know if I ever realized how many books she'd written.
This was an entertaining mystery and a quick read. The ending surprised me despite the fact that I thought I knew what was going on. I love that about her books. I'm starting to get worried that my favorite minor characters in Christie mysteries always turn out to be the murderer. Either I have a worrying taste in people, or Christie likes using our own biases against ourselves, and makes appealing characters turn out to be the bad guys.
I wonder if whatever principle is at work is the same one that inevitably makes my favorite minor character be the only one to die. (see, Hobbit, The, only dwarf character to get killed off).

This is only my second Agatha Christie novel and I enjoyed this one much more than the first. I enjoyed the serial murder aspect. I liked the characters of this book and found many parts funny. I was suprised by how much I actually liked this book.
