I read this book for my book club because I had heard about how popular the series is. I was terribly disappointed in this first installment. There are too many ideas and characters thrown into a single book which prevented the reader from thoroughly being engrossed in anything. I have been told that she uses this book to introduce all of her ideas that she breaks down and adds more details to in later books which is fine I guess, but honestly, I have no desire to continue the series.
