Dark and mysterious, filled with intriguing characters. In a house filled with secrets, lies, and abuse, the reader is left guessing until the end. I still had a lingering question at the end but overall I really enjoyed this story.

A twenty-something girl gets a letter that she's named heir in a will and while she's sure it's a case a mistaken identity. she's broke and desperate enough to follow the trail and see if she can claim the fortune. What happens next will test her tarot card skills but ultimately pull her into a web no psychic could predict.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed this read but it was a little confusing at times and I had to reread some of the sections even after finishing the book. But overall I did enjoy the book and I read it pretty quickly.
While I enjoyed the atmosphere and Ruth Ware's writing, the major plot twist of this mystery was perhaps the most obvious plot twist I have ever read, followed by a plot twist that came completely out of left field. Given that these are my two least favorite twist reveals within mysteries, you can likely guess how I felt about this book. I also found that a lot of the characters blended together in my mind and some of the characters and their motivations could have been developed a bit more (loo
