Dark and mysterious, filled with intriguing characters. In a house filled with secrets, lies, and abuse, the reader is left guessing until the end. I still had a lingering question at the end but overall I really enjoyed this story.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed this read but it was a little confusing at times and I had to reread some of the sections even after finishing the book. But overall I did enjoy the book and I read it pretty quickly.

While I enjoyed the atmosphere and Ruth Ware's writing, the major plot twist of this mystery was perhaps the most obvious plot twist I have ever read, followed by a plot twist that came completely out of left field. Given that these are my two least favorite twist reveals within mysteries, you can likely guess how I felt about this book.
