Hilarious!

Brand manages to turn what should be a rather disturbing and tragic journey into a comical and uproariously funny story. It's also really well written - there are words I had to look up in the dictionary to find out what they meant. Not what you might expect from the guy who has played Aldus Snow in two movies.

I just love Russell Brand.
I used to despise him. I didn't get him.
Then, I started seeing him more and more, and the interest grew.

Now, after reading this extremely honest book, I just love him even more.
Sure, there are lots of people who had a disturbing childhood leading to heroin and sex addiction, but Russell's brand of writing (almost poetic) really brings his voice to the pages.

I am looking forward to Booky Wook 2.

My favorite genre: rock and roll lifestyle autobiography. But missing the two key ingredients - 1) Good ghostwriter 2) The product of meticulous lifelong jounrnaling. Worth the read if only for the explanation of Brand's vegetarianism. I know how it is, I eat fish Russell. ...more
