Just loving this series! None of these books so far can I even find slight complaint about. They are so different and funny!

I just love the way BA weaves in Peters' education to all things of The Folly, and this instalment is a fantastic example of that. Such a good read.

The twist ending of the last book alienated me, so I started this one with trepidation. I don’t know whether anything is redeemed (yet), but I did enjoy this story a great deal more.

For one thing, the setting makes for a fun, vivid change. And even with the parts that advance the Ettersburg arc, the plot felt less scattered. Rivers of London goes to the country! While there they encounter unicorns? Magical Bees? Elves? Apparently the countryside is more dangerous than anyone ever thought. Peter ends up assisting in the hunt for a missing child after the events of Broken Homes and probably learns more about natural magic than he ever wanted to know, along the way though, he has to battle against dark forces and imaginary friends turned real.

I absolutely love the Rivers of London series, they are real page turners and I can’t wait to get stuck into the next one. There are so many unanswered questions from this book!!!
