This series just really isn't for me. I wanted to love it from the beginning, but most of the character perspectives aren't that interesting to me. There was very little plot development here as well, which didn't help my enjoyment when reading. :/ ...more

Definitely a change of pace from the first book as this one was paced much slower. The first book ended right at the climax and this book was essentially all the falling action of the fallout from that ending and then setting up the third. So while I still enjoyed this one, it wasn't quite as good as the first since it seemed to fall into the classic middle book syndrome trap. It is setting up some exciting things (especially one of the locations I think we will be seeing more of next book) and ...more
