Hmm I liked more of the settling while in the library very vivid and livid. The beginning caught my attention on the spot. But once leaving the library it just lacked my attention.

I kept reading because I was curious to where this will go. I was somewhat interested in the sorcerer guy and the demon servant. But the main character I just felt I could care less what happens to her. The mysterious of it was obvious to who was behind everything. Enjoyed this so much! There was a bit of dragging on in between.. but I was completely hooked for most of the ride.

Also, I loved the world building.. magical books coming alive and sorcerers.. that's such a great combo!

Also, like everyone I loved Silas. He was like this sassy butler who is also a demon!? I would love to read a book totally centred on Silas. ...more

I could not finish the last two chapters. This book was such a disappointment. No character building, no personalities, no world building, just nothing. The author tried SO HARD to include LGBT characters, and it showed. It did not come naturally to the flow of the story. Dull main character, not a hint of personality, her only outstanding quality was that she is "taller than most girls".
