A buddy read with my loves: Petrik and Sarah.
In my humble opinion, pirates make everything better. When I was six or seven, my favorite Saturday-morning cartoon was Pirates of the Dark Waters. Officially did not finish. I just got bored. I even read up to 240 pages. I like the world that it created. I like the characters. I just...didn't feel like it. If that makes sense.

I liked the book. I can't say I didn't. I still love Scott Lunch's writing, his humor, and witty dialogues. I still love the games, adventures, and battles. But have to admit that despite the fact that I liked the book, I was left perplexed. What was the endgame?

After the mayhem that ended Book1, Locke and Jean needed some place to keep a low profile and for Locke to sulk in some booze, which he does until Jean snaps him out of it….with a brick wall. (That was a very funny scene by the way). Then they are off to Tal Verrar islands for a highly-planned, well equipped, yet poorly timed scheme that runs 2 years in the making. Tal Verrar is a gambler’s paradise, with gambling houses of all sorts, exotic nightlife, and alcohol. Lots of alcohol. Locke and Jea
