This book was by far better then the first. However, as it got better, it got more violent and dark.
This book moves a little slower than the 1st or 3rd in this series. However, the great detail the author goes into is necessary to truly understand the many different characters. I enjoyed the switch back & forth from what was happening with Eragon vs. his brother, Rohran. Rohran's adventures in the 1st half of the book kept the pace moving...
