Delightfully strange. Written in a way that makes it seem almost possible. In fact, when I would search to try and figure out what was real in the story, Google would auto-fill my search "Are the pictures...... in Miss Peregrine real?" It was kind of fun to think of all those other readers out there enchanted and puzzled just like me. The story felt weird and original, but somehow classic at the same time. Jesse Bernstein's narration is absolutely atrocious. He utterly failed in his attempts at British accents, of which there are many. So hard to listen to. I sped it up significantly so I could just get it over with. Otherwise an OK story. Definitely not for anyone older than middle school-age, but probably more appropriate for elementary-age students that can handle monsters.
