A beautifully written, descriptive, whimsical, feel-good novel. It focuses on a social worker for magical children whose job is to investigate orphanages to make sure that the kids are cared for, and that they are not a danger to others or themselves. What a delight to read. An allagory of LGBTQ acceptance, charmingly written about magical misfit children who can't help who they are, and considered especially dangerous, living in an orphanage and hidden away.
