My problem with this good wasn't that it was poorly written or that the plot wasn't any good. Actually, it was a great book, though a bit on the gross and disturbing side.
My problem was that it waited until about 40% through to become all these things. Up to that point it was 3600 locations (slightly less than the size of your average novel) of boring. I had to force myself to keep reading to see what all the excitement was about, cause I just wasn't getting it.

I mean, it was good. It got really good in the middle, and page-turnery like everyone said it would. But the beginning just draaaaaaagged. I was warned about that and advised to keep reading "past the first 100 pages," but I'm not sure the middle was catchy ENOUGH to make up for the eh beginning. Still unsure if I'll read the next two, but I probably will at some point because I don't like leaving things (like trilogies) unfinished.

This book would have been 5 stars if it were not for the financial/Millenium Magazine plotline. In my opinion, Larsson tried to add too much into the book which distracted from the real focus of the book; violence against women.
Auf jeden Fall spannend und man möchte wissen wie es weitergeht, aber definitiv zu viele Seiten für die Story. Irgendwie ging es erst ab Seite 350 richtig los ;) Bin gespannt auf die Fortsetzungen!
Loved this book, can't wait to read the next one :)
