Some books amaze you with its ideas, some with its writing, some with its overall intellect. Then there are books that don't exemplify any of these categories, but for a few hours you get lost in a story that is so compelling and immersive that none of this matters. It may be a little cheesy at times or farfetched here or there. It may be so simple in its writing that you underestimate its status in literature. But it takes you away and that's what matters more than anything.
