This book is very popular, and most people credit it for somehow shaping their youth or outlook on the world, but I have always considered this book extremely overrated. I thought Kyle from South Park (or maybe it was Stan?) succintly summed this book up when he told his friends, it's just a whiny teenager complaining about how much he sucks, or something like that. Very true, indeed.
