What Members Thought
This book has everything you want in historical fiction: a brave heroine, romance, suspense, beautiful settings…the best of the best in my opinion!
I enjoyed this one. It was terribly sad. The last fourth of the book is heart-wrenching. I don't even regret staying up until 2 in the morning several times this week to finish this.

Dadgummit Ms. Hannah, you made me cry. I HATE crying.
I read this during my long weekend. Very well written. Wasn't hard to get into at all.
I hate that a generation has passed without stories like this being out in the spotlight.

Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres, and this book was a fast read, hard to put down once it got toward the end. Heartbreaking in many parts, and also helped me learn a lot about an aspect of WW2 that I wasn't really aware of.
