It was excellent! I tried to guess who the killer was all the way through and I was so far off the mark. So tense, so creepy and so cleverly planned and written . Basically ten completely different people with seemingly no connection to one another are invited to an island for an assessment of different reasons. I won’t give much away, but as it’s Agatha Christie and that the title is not very subtle … a mysterious murder spree begins to unfold. I’m definitely going to watch the film adaptation

I found myself engrossed in this story and if it hadn't been for wrapping presents I would have completed it much sooner then the 3 days it took me.
10 people mysteriously invited to Indian Island by their host. A host that no one seems to know, but by the invation is made to look as if they do. This was my first Agatha Christie. I can't believe it took me so long to read any of her novels! Sadly, I accidentally spoiled the big reveal for myself (typical) so the end probably didn't feel as impactful as it should have, but I still loved it! It might be closer to a 5-star for me, but for now, we will give it 4 (subject to change).

And Then There Were None is not only Christie's best-selling novel, it's also the best selling mystery ever (according to Wikipedia). So, I was a little surprised that I did not like it very much. Possibly it is a case of too many imitators dulling the original. Christie created an archetype of mystery novels and movies - ten strangers are brought together in a mansion, only to be killed off one by one by the murderer amongst them.
