What a glorious book from my childhood! Recently I started eating orange peels which reminded me of the dragon's diet on tangerine peels. I am happy to feel connected to such a wonderful literary character. The world would be a better place if everyone were required to read this book. ...more

A dragon needs rescuing, and Elmer is on his way! For young kids who love dragons, this is the perfect story for parents to share.
The illustrations are great, I especially enjoy the map of Wild Island.
