This has a lot of nice stories, and the premise is interesting: new takes on fairy tale villains. Also, the visual design of the book is gorgeous. (There are shadowy plants on the corners of most of the pages. Sadly, this probably won't be preserved in the paperback version.)

What a treat to get so many amazing authors to contribute to this fun book retelling some of our favorite fairy tales from the inside out. Each author picked a tale, and wrote from the point of view of the villain. Or were they?
The 4 stars are in spite of the 'poetry' and the stories by Holly Black and Kelly Link. The other stories are excellent.
