I wanted to cry when I tried to read this, because I adored Cryptonomicon:

A) Neal, my friend, you need an editor. One who will beat you, hard, until you accept his or her edits.
B) It barely worked for Foucault's Pendulum, it will not work for you: enough with the exhaustive historical background rife with conspiracy. It tires us.
