Ethan was kidnapped when he was seven, and now, after living with a prostitute who abandoned him to a group home and living on the streets, he has found his real family. Unfortunately, he still can't remember anything from before he was seven. As the Dewildes try to incorporate him into their family, he deals with the media attention, the feelings of connection to his kidnapper, and his younger brother Blake, who dislikes Ethan from the start.

A kidnapped child is reunited with his family. The emotions he went through as a result from trauma seemed realistic. The family wants normal, but there is much adjusting, or not. The ending threw me and left me wondering what happened next.
