A lot better the second time around. Yes, this was a re-read for me and the story seemed much more intriguing this time. I really like Harry, even though he likes to make life harder for himself. I still don't get why he couldn't be straight with Murphy. I mean, he didn't have to tell her about the White Council but there were things that he could have told her, about his suspicions and about Marcone and his man... As the rating indicates, I found Storm Front good but not great. Its charm is that it allows the reader to see magic and 'reality' side by side. Kind of reminds me a watching a bad TV show that you know is bad but you like anyway. It was fun but certainly not original or well written.

This one got me hooked on the series. I love Harry Dresden, "Saving the world one random act of destruction at a time." This is actually one of the weakest books in the series; they just keep getting better. ...more

I really enjoyed the mix of hard-boiled detective fiction with wizardry in this book. Definitely a fun read!

Fun fantasy/mystery book. I could totally see this being turned into a TV series, a la Buffy.
