A short book but not a quick read.Now I have to see Apocalypse Now again.I also have to read more modern African adventures.Tim Butcher and Richard Grant,especially.This was a very difficult book,but I thought the imagery was astounding.I will definitely read more Conrad.

The darkness of a man's soul when he is not accountable to his own civilization when he can rape another culture of their material goods and take advantage of people because he can. Definitely a book to read again, it gives me much to think about. As all classics this is timeless. ...more
