I cried my eyes out. I was really hoping this one would have a happy ending, everything was going so well. By the time I got to the 3/4 mark I knew that wasn't going to happen. I really wanted Alex and Lena to have a happily ever after....maybe in book two. Beautifully written. ...more

March 15, 2017: When I decided to read this book again, I did not realize it was a love story and post-apocalyptic. Neither genre currently interests me in the way of reading but I still read it within a fairly short period of time. I did enjoy it. I remembered a surprising amount considering I read it five years ago. I would give it a 3-3.5 star rating. I do not relate very well to the book's theme of love. Love for me is very different.
