I'm so glad I decided to give this series another chance even though I didn't enjoy the first book at all. I liked this one so much better. Mac has grown a lot, and she's also grown on me. I'm intrigued by the characters and the world-building now. I'll definitely read the next one and see how it goes. Hopefully I'll keep enjoying it enough that I'll actually finish the series. ...more
