It's been a few years in between books 1 and 2 (I really need to stop doing that) and Mac is still trying to avenge her sisters death and uncovering more about herself in the process. Barons is still Barons....still intense and mysterious. I feel that the more Mac thinks she knows or learns in just adds another layer to everything she thinks, and that maybe she doesn't know as much as she thought. I can not wait to go on to book 3. ...more

One of my top 5 series, One of the best audio books available IMHO.
Barrons and Mac are a wicked combination that sets my soul on fire. It's just dark enough, just enough action, perfectly flawed characters,! sexy ! and twisted. I am a fever maniac and happier for it. ...more

More like 3.5 stars. This book fustrated me because the author kept repeating herself. Kept referring to the first book. I hate that. I do like her characters and I'm interested in seeing what is going to happen next. So I will continue to read the series. Hope that future books are less like this one. I'm an action girl who likes to move forward and hate looking back all the time. An average read for me. ...more
