I haven't stayed up late because I couldn't put a book down in awhile. This book grabbed me about halfway through and didn't let go until the end.

It was quiet, and simpler than most novels, but was so evocative and so personal. Despite the present heartache I am looking forward to trying other books by this author. ...more

This. Book. I just can't even.

I don't normally read books like this- books I know that will be sad and heartrending. I swear this will be my mantra for the year.

But this book was SO. GOOD. It was poignant and thought-provoking and just- all the feels. Seriously. Also, the cover art! Don't even get me started on the cover art! I didn't even care what the book jacket said when I picked it up at the library. I'm glad the story was just as beautiful as the cover!

Loved this book. The ending felt slightly rushed, but otherwise so well-crafted. Very emotional and engaging. Definitely fits my favorite pattern...emotionally devastating with a hopeful ending.
