I loved this book. I read Guts first when it was published and this book makes me appreciate the story even more. I read this to prepare for the next Tween Book Club at work.

Solid, entertaining. The strained parental relationship was kind of thrown in there and left hanging, and that bothered me a little. I suppose since it's from the girls' perspective it doesn't make sense to really go into it, but I still wanted to know what happened with all that. ...more

It's like she wrote about my own childhood, right down to the tiny details like the Ecto-Cooler Hi-C juice packs! Telemeter's graphic novels fly off the shelves at the junior high that I work at, and for good reason. She really remembers what it's like to be a kid. ...more
