I am not sure if this re read review thingy works but I BR this book for the second time with Mer and we officially converted War to the YA side haha. I honestly can say that I don't have time for re-reads, I have tried at least few times and i failed miserably because i like to read books not knowing how things will end. However; this was my very first re read

This story begins with us getting to see into the life of Feyre and her family. She's the only one who works for the food they have. If she didn't they would starve. The times they live in are dangerous, and fear of the Fae are forever lurking in the back of everyone's minds. But when Feyre makes a hard decision about killing a wolf and it comes back to haunt her, things start to change for her. What a fantastic start to this series! Sarah J. Maas has a beautiful way of describing everything in such vivid detail, giving you the ability to see and experience everything.

This is such a fantastical world with amazing characters. The fae have many misconceptions of humans and the humans have many misconceived notions of the fae. As the story unfolds, we begin to see into the past and what brought the war between fae and humans.

What wonderful characters Tamlin, Lucien, Rhysand, and Feyre are

This was such a good story. The world building was fantastic and the characters entertaining and fascinating. Feyre was amazing, she was strong, feisty, and loyal, sometimes to a fault. I enjoyed getting to know Tamlin, Lucian, and Rysand. When Feyre first comes to Prythian it was fun trying to figure out what was going to happen next but then we started learning about the evil in this land. This is a long story, maybe certain parts were a little too long but lets skip ahead to when Feyre had to ...more

This book blew me away, best book I've read in 2017 so far.
Feyre has grown up supporting and keeping her family alive in a small town. After a hunting incident it changes Feyre's life forever. A bargain was made to save not just Feyre's life but many others also. A true love is blossomed and tested in multiple tasks.

The intense and dramatic fantasy storyline is well thought out and has a lot of plot twists involved to keep you reading all through the night. I couldn't put the book down.

reread 2021:

i remember dropping this series back when it was first published because i absolutely hate it when an authors builds up a character or a couple only for the author to drop them or ruin their character in the next book. i get too easily attached to characters for them to be vilified or disregarded somewhere along the series - it just ruins it for me.
