This book was absolutely enlightening. Michael Pollan is a wonderfully honest and talented writer who takes it upon himself to explore the history of psychedelics not just in therapeutic settings but in general. His discoveries as well as his own experiences were life changing - not just for him, but for the reader as well.
I was totally struck by the discussion of the ego - it is something I really want to explore further. But there was so much information in this book and so much to think about ...more
