My present to myself ... so why wait for my birthday to open it? I'm reading it NOW! Some of these essays I remember from the site, others are new to me - I haven't read every single thing Ms Brosh has posted, so I can't tell if these are never-before-seen, or if I just missed them. I'd read some of Allie Brosh's work online prior to picking up this book, but not enough to remember what I was getting myself into. I loved her dry humor and her observations on the most mundane things in life were spot on and hilarious. Her chapter on depression was quite eye-opening. The crude drawings make the situations she writes about even more hilarious, and I love how she used only Paint to do them.

This book was all right. I liked some chapters better than others. Her dogs are AWESOME! And the goose!

Fun book

I loved the blog, one day I need to go back and reread it. This book takes several of the popular blog stories and adds in several new ones. It's a fun book, though I do feel like the blog has slightly more details and pictures.

Usually I do the "three strikes and you're out" rule with the f-word. This was an exception, because it used it in the second sentence of the book. Yep, I didn't even finish the first page! Back to the library it goes. ...more
