5 stars for the audiobook! As a music lover, I ate this up. Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll fun. I wish this band was real so I could go look up videos of their performances from the 70's as detailed in the story. Different narrators are used for each character and it played out like a behind the scenes documentary of the making of a band and one of the greatest albums of all time. There are even song lyrics included so you could reference them while reading about what was going on during the song

Interesting style of writing, like series of interviews. It worked well on Audible, as each character's voice wove one thread of the story. Fun story of a rising rock band and the eccentric personalities that made it unique in the 70s LA. I was transported back to those exciting days of my youth.
