2.5-ish Stars. Well that was... different. This is my first experience reading a novel where the majority of it focused around food. I'm not sure I liked it. Though well written I just wasn't interested in all the food talk. Plus by the end of it I just felt extremely bad for John. It actually made me dislike Tita by the time I finished the book. So to sum it up I thought it was okay just not for me. I'm sure it's a great book to those that enjoy this genre.

Well that was weird, and it took a while to figure out if it was good weird or bad weird. On balance, I think it was good weird, hence three stars rather than two.
