Review of the audiobook narrated by Hugh Fraser

I had not read this book before, nor had I seen the television adaptation. As it turns out, The Sittaford Mystery is now one of my favorite Christie books. I loved the atmosphere, the characters, and the cleverness.

I had wondered if I had read this before, but I'm sure I would have remembered the main character if I had. Emily Trefusis is a character that would be hard to forget. She is the fiancée of a young man who is suspected and then arrested for the murder of Captain Trevelyan, but she insists that this couldn't possibly be true. She therefore decides to try to find out exactly what had happened. She moves down to the town where the murder has taken place, where she meets a newspaper journalist, befr ...more

A lot of things going on in this story and one keeps thinking who the real culprit is. However, due to the subdued explanation of the characters and their behaviour, in the end, it went from 4 stars to 3 stars.
