I really don't think "Jane Finn" is all that unusual of a name. Sure, I haven't met anyone with the name before, but it's not so unusual that I would assume there's only one, and that any mention of a "Jane Finn" must therefore be about the same one person. Christie's original idea of "Jane Fish" seems slightly more peculiar to me, but still not weird enough to base a whole book on!

Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple are the better known sleuths of Agatha Christie’s pen, yet Tommy and Tuppence are also engaging in their detective adventures. The time period is after WWI, in fact, the story begins shortly after the sinking of the Luistiania.
Lots of snappy dialogue with British slang thrown in. My version had footnotes which were both helpful and a distraction to the story.
An engaging read with typical Christie red herrings.

Although the two main characters have been through an active time in the war, they feel to me, that they have never grown up. Christie certainly includes a huge amount of mystery tropes, gangs, kidnapping, loss of memory, and many more. Definitely action-packed for those that like a fast moving read ...more
