The third girl, Norma Restarick, drops in on Hercule Poirot one morning as he's finishing his breakfast chocolate. Like those of her generation, she's got a tousled, unkempt appearance, but added to that is a perplexed stare. She greets Poirot with the news that she thinks she may have committed a murder. But then, having giving his appearance due consideration, she decides that he is "too old" to help her and diesappears. A different offering from the usual Christie, but I really, really liked it. A young woman comes to Poirot, tells him she thinks she murdered someone, and then decides he's "too old" to be of any help and leaves without telling the detective her name. Of course this catches his interest and hurts his pride, so he begins to dig into the mystery. In the process he involves Ariadne Oliver, a character I love and wish Christie has used more.

Eh, this was strange, like a weird fever dream or something. This may have been intentional I suppose.
