And so here is my belated review. The Hollow is an excellent story that epitomises the talents of Hercule Poirot. As other people have mentioned the murder itself is almost secondary to the intricate investigation that Poirot conducts.

One of my favourite 'Poirots', well read by Hugh Fraser. A murder/suicide at a swimming pool at a country house, with the spouse bending over the body, gun in hand. Five paths leading to the pool, and several members of the house party have just arrived, followed by Hercule Poirot. The spouse obviously guilty, ...... or not?
