"Since she was a woman of disconcertingly rapid thought processes, Lady Angkatell, as was her invariable custom, commenced the conversation in her own mind, supplying Midge’s answers out of her own fertile imagination. The conversation was in full swing when Lady Angkatell flung open Midge’s door.

Different than her usual Poirot stories...wonderfully deep character development. Loved it!

Initially, I thought I would not enjoy this book as a good portion of the beginning is spent with a rather unlikable character. It is now, however, becoming one of my favorites of her books. I can’t seem to stop thinking about it! It is one of Agatha Christie’s stronger books when it comes to characterizations. The characters (for the most part) are complex and not just one-note.
I will read this again.
