I'm a huge Christie fan but had always assumed that knowing whodunnit before I went in would mostly spoil the thrill. I'm realising that was wrong - there's at least as much fun in seeing the conjurer work her magic. I knew the solution here from the Ustinov movie and remembered how clever the puzzle mystery is, and how atmospheric the setting of a causewayed island off the coast of Devon.
