One of the more popular books of Christie's work with Poirot. Its kind of like her Roger Ackroyd novel - another experiment in flipping things around a bit. Overall, I thought it was OK. I mean, readers should definitely read it - its a very fast read and its important to know for all the cultural and literary references to it. But at heart, the novel is not really more than novelty. ...more
