I feel like I've read this more than the twice Goodreads says... Maybe I'm just so familiar since I've seen multiple adaptations? This is a classic for a reason. Such a good mystery. I don't know that I buy the end though; it seems a bit out of character for Poirot. So good though.

I quite enjoyed this famous detective story and found it very readable and cleverly written. I also relished the descriptions of the glamorous, epic train journey - what a fantastic setting for a novel. But the big problem was that I already knew whodunit, having seen two films based on the book (and in fact had the ending spoilt for me even before I saw them.)

This was a reread for me and I remembered the ending, so big surprise as far as who dunnit. I still loved it though. It's great to see how Poirot comes up with the solution.

I've read this classic several times, so this time I listened to it narrated by David Suchet. Obviously he's the ultimate Poirot, but his American and female voices leave something to be desired. I still prefer Hugh Fraser for Christie novels.
