Well I think my younger self below summed up the book quite nicely. Really very good, and made even better by the reading of Hugh Fraser (Hastings).
I would just add that I had 99% forgotten the denouement but had remembered a few pertinent facts that helped in my “guessing”

A comprehensive 4 (+) star book with Poirot at his enigmatic best.

Another delightful exercise in misdirection by Agatha. Nick Buckly a pretty, vacuous impoverished lady living in End Hose her rundown home. She bumps literally into Poiret at the nearby Majestic Hotel. As events unfold we find Nick has had three attempts on her life.
