This is a good one. I remembered some of it (whether from a previous read or the adaptation, I don't know), but not enough to know where all it was going. I like the use of Poirot for other ends, the useage of names, the reveal. Very good.

2025 Series Re-read: Enjoyable story with memorable characters and all the clues laid out fairly. Poirot's pomposity contrasts nicely with Hastings's playful narration. I love their camaraderie and reminiscences over previous cases. Re-reading these in order is proving fruitful.

It is such a pleasure to read an Agatha Christie mystery. Peril at End House stars Hercule Poirot and Captain Hastings. (I really love it when Hastings is "helping" Poirot solve a case.) This mystery is a hard one for Poirot to solve, though he doesn't realize that until the very, very end! This is a novel that could very easily be spoiled so I won't say much about it except that it was a pure delight to read this one!
