Still one of my favourites, and nice to see the seeds of Miss Marple sown in the character of Caroline.
A great mystery and original with the ending. It reminds me of P.D James Cover her Face. The characters are excellent with all having a motive. The disappearance of the step son, the dodgy butler, Major Blunt, Mrs Ackroyd, Clara, Miss Russell the housekeeper, the personal secretary and a few others. Poirot in his third outing is magnificent even though c his marrows were a bit disappointing.

Os personagens são interessantes. A descoberta do assassino é algo surpreendente. Difícil se antecipar à perspicácia de Hercule Poirot. Um dos melhores livros de Agatha Christie.
