This is the first Christie short story collection I’ve read, and it was, in a word, disappointing. I think it’s partly because the short stories simply don’t allow any build up of suspense and momentum.
Also, I found the solutions to some of the stories quite absurd, complicated and improbable. I didn’t enjoy The Lost Mine, The Case of the Missing Will and the one about the Cheap Flat. This book is really quite unmemorable. Think I’ll stick to her novels.
