DRAMATISATION LISTENED TO (AGAIN) IN 2020
This is one of 5 dramatisations I listened to whilst decorating, and was again really enjoyable. I think this certainly stays at 4 stars.

DRAMATISATION LISTENED TO IN 2019
Firstly let's say it's a shame that this does not have a separate entry as it is not the audiobook of the novel, it is an abridged dramatisation that only roughly follows the novel, but it doesn't, so hey ho.
It is a great version, being a BBC Radio 4 dramatisation starring some excellent

Although I enjoyed this book, it is not my favorite. Miss Marple played more of a supporting character role rather than being the detective or even assisting the detective. She was involved somewhat, just not in her usual capacity. I enjoyed the details of London and the history that was reminisced. Another book in "miss marple 2017 reading challenge ".
I read it as a part of a challenge ,(12 books in 12 months) .
The book was just what I will call "christie's average work" and it also lacked that christie factor .
I was not much intrigued and I guessed the ending pretty accurately
so I will rate it just 3 stars and will suggest that this could be easily avoided if you are a fan of some premium stuff.

How I'd love to take afternoon tea at Bertram's Hotel! I'm sure I can't be the only reader that quickly looked up 'seed cake' and found a recipe.

Yes, could imagine myself with a pot of delicious hot tea and one of those muffins.

I really liked the character of Inspector Davy, he was well written and I loved reading about his train of thought.
